Carol Gene Cohen, CEP Carol Gene Cohen is a nationally certified College Counselor, formally with Richardson Independent School District, Highland Park/Highwood ISD, and Dallas ISD. After 17 years of teaching Carol began her college counseling service 1987, and earned her Certified Educational Planner designation in 1998. Carol has helped prepare over 1000 students for college and has visited over 180 campuses. In addition to college counseling, Carol has earned nine certifications, which include Social Studies, French, Spanish, English as a Second Language, Gifted and Talented, and Advisory. She is an active member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association) and HECA (Higher Educational Consultants Association). Being a seasoned educational consultant and having many years of educational experience, Carol Gene Cohen, understands the college entrance process. She has developed an 11 step program through which students navigate the complex college entrance process. |

Sheila Runnels, Ph.D. Dr. Runnels, who has worked with Carol Gene Cohen for many years, is the Essay Specialist at Cohen's College Connection. Educated in the field of Secondary Education, she taught high school honors English for 16 years. She then was a high school principal for the following 16 years. She taught English at the undergraduate college level, after which she taught in the Principal and Leadership program in graduate school. She works with the students at CCC to help them complete all of the essays necessary for their college applications. |

Joan Ungerman Joan Ungerman has 20 years of experience in the field of education as a teacher, tutor, and consultant. She earned her BA from Southern Methodist University and has 20 hours toward her master's degree. At Cohen's College Connection, Joan is responsible for the college application process. |

Alyssa Fiedelman Alyssa Fieldman, with Cohen's College Connection since 2005, is a career counselor. Working closely with the students, Alyssa helps them consider their personalities and interests and which careers would be most appropriate. With that in mind she helps them choose a college major. Alyssa has a masters degree in higher education administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She has 13 years of prior experience at three campuses working in varied areas from admissions to advising to career services. |

Kitty Keefer Kitty Keefer, the office manager, has been a part of Cohen's College Connection for two years. A former employee of the Plano ISD in the technology division, Kitty is the smiling face you will first see when entering the offices at Cohen's. Not only will Kitty schedule your appointment, but she also will call you to remind you of your appointments! |
